Hi Deana,

Enjoyed you on the Joey Reynolds’s radio show...All the best and God Bless! Your dad was the best!

Genevieve Corus

Hi Genevieve,

It was an honor and a pleasure working with Joey Reynolds.

Deana

Dear Deana,

I listen to you every day on MYF--good show. I have a question that has bugged me for years. I believe your father sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" on a TV variety show--whether it was his own show of Frank's, I can't remember. I was so impressed by his really belting out this song that I have never forgotten it. Is this true of or my imagination?

Thanks,
Louanne Pratt

Dear Louanne,

It’s true.

Deana

Dear Deana,

I have just finished reading your memoir 'Memories Are Made of This.' For my fourteenth birthday, three years ago tomorrow, my grandparents bought me a 'Best of Dean Martin' CD. From the first moments I played the CD, I fell in love with your father. For every birthday or Christmas I would receive another Dean Martin CD or movie. It wasn’t until about a year later that I found out he had passed away when I was only a little kid. (I asked my mom if maybe I could see one of his concerts.) Although I do not profess to have some special connection with your father, I think it is true to say that he has brought joy into my life and will bring joy into the lives of my future children. I am grateful for the sacrifices you and your family made so that he could have such a wonderful career. Your father has truly transcended time; and he will continue to do so. I wish the best for you and your family. Thank you for writing this book, in someway it makes me feel closer to the man I have learned to know and love through his music. PS: my favorite song of all time is 'An Evening In Roma.' I know all the words and sing it quite often. (even though I just pretend to understand the Italian part.) =) Thank you Deana, thank you for bringing to life the Dean Martin I wish I could have met.

Jacquelyn

Dear Jacquelyn,

Thank you so much for your wonderful letter. You’ve touched my heart.

Deana

Hi Deana,

I want to thank you for keeping your dads songs alive. It’s good to know that the standards are still alive and well. I grew up with songs like that.

Thank you,
Arthur L. Hoggard

Hi Deana!

I enjoyed your duet with Jerry Lewis on the telethon! I'll be watching "The CBS Morning Show" on September 29th. Will you doing a concert in the Milwaukee area anytime soon?

Joey Traughber

Dear Joey,

I can tell you that Milwaukee was on the list of cities for my next tour. As soon as the dates are confirmed, I will post them on my website.

Deana

Hello Deana,

I sent an email a couple of days ago telling you that I was reading your wonderful book about your dad! Well, I've since finished it and just wanted to thank you for such a great read! I was in England for Christmas with my beautiful wife's family when your dad passed away. We found out the same time that my wife was pregnant with our twin sons. That Christmas was both wonderful, and also so deeply painful to me. I love your dad, and I always will! I wish that I had the pleasure of meeting him. Thank you, Deana, for carrying on his fantastic legacy! You have such a beautiful voice! You are so much like Dean himself! I'll bet he is looking down and smiling! He must be so proud of you! When you sang with Jerry in 2002 during the MDA telethon, I cried. The emotions ran the gamut. Happy, sad, you name it! God bless you and all your family Deana! And THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

Michael Falcone

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your heartfelt and compelling email. Congratulations on the twins. I am proud to say that Jerry Lewis and I recreated that song on my new CD ‘Memories Are Made Of This’ and again this year 2006 for the MDA Telethon. I am very interested to hear how you feel about the duet, ‘Time After Time. Please let me know. Thank you for your email.

Deana

Deana,

I just got your new CD. I LOVE the song you did with Jerry. It gave me goose bumps. Thank you. A new fan,

Randy Hauck

Hi Randy,

Thank you. That’s exactly how I feel each time I sing it.

Deana

Hi Deana,

I'm currently reading your wonderful book "Memories Are Made Of This" and I absolutely love it. It is both heart warming and heart wrenching so far! I just wanted to let you know how much respect I have for you and your family! I grew up listening to your father's records! And his movies (especially The Young Lions and those wonderful Matt Helm movies!) are among my favorites! Was your father a fan of the Marx Brothers? Thank you again Deana! Hope to pick up your new CD soon!

Michael

Hi Michael,

Absolutely! He loved the Marx brothers.

Deana

Hello Deana,

Loved your book. I've been a big fan all my life. 56 years old. Where can I find recording of ‘When Cowboys Dream’ from Rio Bravo? It’s my favorite song. Can't find it anywhere.

Roger Malone

Hi Deana,

I am half way through your book and I hate to put it down but do not want to finish it too quickly.  That is the sign of a great book.  I have three grown daughters and could relate to so many aspects of what you shared with your readers. I love your CD and, like everyone else in this world, love your Dad's music and his gift of entertaining us in so many ways.  One of my favorite Dean Martin songs was "I Don't Know Why".  Will you be doing another CD any time soon or are past CDs available and do you plan on any touring with your music or doing any book signings?  I live in upstate NY (near Saratoga Springs) and would love to hear you sing live and meet you to get my book signed.  Thank you so much for the wonderful music from that full, clear, warm voice.  The duet with Jerry is priceless.
Thank you for the book and your music and this web site.  You have a gift that is all your own.

Bill Paquette

Hi Deana,

I have been a fan of your dads for years and years, hmmm giving away my age, and now I am a fan of yours. My question is in one of his movies with Jerry, it was about a circus and Jerry was a clown, but they did a song about a clown (hope I spell it right,) I think the name was Poncharello. I would like to get a copy of that song. Can you please let me know where I can get it? Thanks for your time and if you ever get the chance if you could some time go to my web sight and sign my guest book I would be forever in your debt. Thank you again and may all your days be circus days. Please don’t change any thing you are doing your great just the way you are. One of your many fans, HotShot "Z" Clown. My web address is www.hotshotzclown.com Hope you get time to sign my guest book.

Thanks again,
Joseph Neukam

Hi Joseph,

The song you are looking for is "Hey, Punchinello" by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans and I am not certain as to it’s availability.

Deana

Hi Deana,

My God we just loved your dad and Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis what can I say. Some of the happiest times in life were watching their movies.

Judy McKee

Hi Judy,

I agree. They always bring such laughter and joy every time I see them.

Deana

Hi Deana,

I read your book, it was great. I am 42 years old but my first crush was your dad when I was about 4. He had his TV show and my mom has pictures of me staring at the screen. He had a talking or dancing bear (I cant remember) and when I wrote a fan letter to your dad I got a signed picture of the bear, Ha! I have a CD of his in my car and my crush continues. Thank you for the opportunity to write to you, his daughter and female look-alike.

Ann Marie Vamos

Hi Ann Marie,

I’d love to see those pictures. Can you email them?

Deana

Dear Deana,

Is your Book on sale in South Africa? If not would it be possible to place an order and if so at what price? I have noticed many people are complimenting you for this book and as a fan of your late father for more than 50 years I think that this book is a must. I look forward to hearing from you sometime.

Your African friend,
Gerry Laubser

Hi Gerry,

You can now purchase my book, “Memories Are Made Of This” directly from my website.

Hi Deana,

I was just down in Branson and saw the Les Brown Jr. Show. It was fantastic. I brought the book "Memories are made of this" with me hoping you would be there to sign it. Les Brown said you were off to New York. Is there any way I can send it to you to have it autographed? I loved listening to your Dad and have many of his records and CD's. I also listen to you and Les in the morning. In fact I am listening to you now. Keep up the good work. I love the music you play.

Sincerely,
Carole Bolster

Hi Deana,

I just wanted to thank you for your book. I laughed and I cried while reading it. I listen to Music of Your Life @ station WDBC in Escanaba, Michigan everyday. It plays all of my favorite music, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra etc. The station has started to play your CD with Jerry Lewis and I love it. Thanks again for picking my postcard and sending me your wonderful book.

E. A. Kelly

Hi E. A. Kelly,

Thank you for your comments about my book. I laughed and cried while writing it so your reaction is a huge compliment. Thanks listening to the Music Of Your Life and I promise we will keep playing Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and now, Deana Martin.

Deana
